Basketball Recap: Monroe Campus Comes Up Short

Monroe Campus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-65 heartbreaker at the hands of Eagle Academy. While losing is never fun, Monroe Campus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Eagle Academy is ranked seventh).

Monroe Campus now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Eagle Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Monroe Campus has already played their next matchup, a 65-64 defeat against Wings Academy on the 18th. As for Eagle Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-53 win against Stevenson on the 18th.
