Softball Recap: Glenbard East Wins Going Away Against Fenton

Glenbard East owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Fenton Bison as they made off with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won seven in a row.

Not much got past Claire Bolda, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Fenton off the board. Bolda has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lilly Carver was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Marley Szeluga, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Glenbard East's record is now 8-2. As for Fenton, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenbard East will welcome Aurora East at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Tomcats at the right time seeing as the Tomcats are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Fenton, they will be playing at home against Glenbard South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
