Softball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Comes Up Short

The J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado came up short against the Eastern York Golden Knights on Friday and fell 8-5. The Red Tornado have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

J.P. McCaskey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lleana Martinez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Alayah Gartman was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

J.P. McCaskey's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Eastern York, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, J.P. McCaskey will head out to face off against Penn Manor at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern York, they will be playing at home against Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
