After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chester County, Jackson North Side was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Haywood Tomcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Javonte Smith, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Cross Burgess was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The win got Jackson North Side back to even at 8-8. As for Haywood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Jackson North Side will be playing in front of their home fans against Lexington at 6:05 p.m. on Monday. As for Haywood, they will take on Bolton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
