Baseball Recap: Warren Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Warren entered their tilt with Star City on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lumberjacks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Kolby Pope was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Pope wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Spears, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Warren's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Star City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Warren will head out on the road to challenge Crossett at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
