Basketball Recap: Thomas Lathan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat New Bern Christian Academy

After losing to New Bern Christian Academy the last time they met, Epiphany decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Falcons took down New Bern Christian Academy 63-45 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Epiphany's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas Lathan, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Lathan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Colt R was another key player, putting up eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Epiphany's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Epiphany will welcome John Paul II Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Bern Christian Academy, they will host Living Water Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
