Ragland beats Talladega County Central for their fourth straight win

Recap: Ragland Purple Devils vs. Talladega County Central Fighting Tigers

The Ragland Purple Devils had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Talladega County Central 61-19 at home. The result was nothing new for Ragland, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.

Ragland found their leader in underclassman A'ron Lee, who rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Brett Sisson was another key contributor, rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns.

Ragland's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Sisson and his five sacks.

Ragland's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Talladega County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ragland will take on Spring Garden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Garden knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Ragland likes a good challenge. As for Talladega County Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wadley will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
