Softball Game Preview: Fort Vancouver Trappers vs. La Center Wildcats

The Fort Vancouver Trappers will head out to take on the La Center Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Vancouver is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Fort Vancouver took a 42-run defeat the last time they faced off against Evergreen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trappers had just enough and edged out the Plainsmen 8-7 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Trappers have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, La Center was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They blew past Stevenson 14-4. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

The victory got La Center back to even at 7-7. As for Fort Vancouver, their record is now 8-10.

Fort Vancouver came up short against La Center when the teams last played back in May of 2018, falling 12-9. Can the Trappers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
