Volleyball Game Preview: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Brea Olinda Wildcats

The Vasquez Mustangs will head out to challenge the Brea Olinda Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Vasquez got the win against Rosemead by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Vasquez never let Rosemead on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brea Olinda duked it out with Lawndale on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Brea Olinda won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 29-27.

Vasquez's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. As for Brea Olinda, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
