Woodlawn had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Grayville Bison as they made off with a 17-2 victory. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bison, too.

Rylee Pryor made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Woodlawn got a massive performance out of Hanley Lamacchia, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Lamacchia continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Zaylee Kirkpatrick was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Woodlawn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grayville only managed six hits.
As for Grayville, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Grayville's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briley Campbell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.
Coming up, Woodlawn will head out on the road to face off against Waltonville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grayville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Webber at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bison are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
