Football Game Preview: Castlewood Blue Devils vs. Eastside Spartans + How To Watch

The Castlewood Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Eastside Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Castlewood has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with ten straight defeats, while Eastside will come in with nine straight wins.

On Friday, Castlewood was beaten by Hurley 44-6.

Meanwhile, Eastside got the win against Thomas Walker last Friday by a conclusive 44-18. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Castlewood better focus on containing Landon Pannell and Rocky Bond as the pair were huge in Eastside's win. Pannell threw for 265 yards and four TDs on only 11 passes, while Bond gained 178 total yards. Pannell also put up a rushing touchdown, which was his first of the season.

Eastside didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Thomas Walker to a completion percentage of just 45.8%. The Spartans hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.55 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Eastside's record now sits at 9-0. As for Castlewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Castlewood was dealt a bruising 51-0 defeat at the hands of Eastside when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
