Recap: Jesuit Tigers vs. Sarasota Sailors
If the Jesuit Tigers were riding high off their 61-36 takedown of the Freedom Patriots last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jesuit fell just short of Sarasota by a score of 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Jesuit has suffered yet this season.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morty Hanlon, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Christopher Moliere was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with four steals.
Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Sarasota, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Jesuit won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sickles at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. Sickles will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Jesuit is ranked 59th). Sarasota's road trip will continue as they head out to face Leto at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th.
