Basketball Recap: Norfork Takes a Loss

If Norfork was riding high fresh off their 50-29 takedown of Calico Rock last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Norfork Panthers came up short against the Rural Special Rebels on Tuesday, falling 51-27. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Rebels are ranked 50th).

Norfork now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Rural Special, they pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norfork has already played their next contest (against Viola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rural Special has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against West Side.
