Soccer Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover lost against Merrimack back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Green Wave came up short against the Tomahawks, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Dover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Merrimack are ranked 19th).

Dover has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Merrimack, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3-3.

Coming up, Dover will face off against Concord at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Merrimack has already played their next match (against Hanover), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
