Baseball Recap: Brazos Gets the Win

Brazos won the last time they faced Hitchcock and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 7-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Jaden Bradley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gunner Grigar, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Cullen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Brazos' win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hitchcock, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Brazos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
