Basketball Recap: Trimble Tech Comes Up Short

Trimble Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 51-4 loss at the hands of the Polytechnic Parrots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-16 back in December of 2024.

Polytechnic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cecilia Aguilar out in front who posted 20 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Aguilar a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Serenity Tolbert, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Trimble Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Polytechnic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

Trimble Tech will square off against South Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech is facing South Hills at the right time seeing as South Hills is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Polytechnic, they will face off against Arlington Heights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
