Softball Game Preview: Notre Dame Academy Tritons vs. Sheboygan South Redwings

The Notre Dame Academy Tritons will head out on the road to face off against the Sheboygan South Redwings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Notre Dame Academy and 23 for Sheboygan South dating back to last season.

Notre Dame Academy fell victim to Ashwaubenon and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Tritons were not able to get on the board.

Notre Dame Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addyson Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sheboygan South lost 21-5 to Green Bay Southwest on Tuesday.

Sheboygan South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Notre Dame Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Notre Dame Academy took their victory against Sheboygan South in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tritons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
