Recap: Crazy Horse Chiefs vs. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves
After flying high against the Oelrichs Tigers on Thursday, the Crazy Horse Chiefs came back down to earth. Crazy Horse took a hard 79-60 fall against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Friday. Crazy Horse was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cheyenne-Eagle Butte apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Clown, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Veaux, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Crazy Horse's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Crazy Horse will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marty Indian at 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oelrichs at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
