Recap: Glen Burnie Gophers vs. North County Knights
The Glen Burnie Gophers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past North County, posting a 64-24 victory on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Glen Burnie also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Glen Burnie found their leader in underclassman Starr Munford, who scored 17 points along with eight steals. Munford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Gilbert, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Glen Burnie's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for North County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Glen Burnie won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fallston at 9:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Fallston is coming into the game with five straight defeats on the road, so Glen Burnie is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for North County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Broadneck at 6:00 p.m. Broadneck will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something North County surely won't give up without a fight.
