Watseka had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Watseka pushed their record up to 8-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they moved to 13-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Watseka will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fisher at 4:30 p.m. The last three games the Bunnies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will square off against Salt Fork at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
