Basketball Game Preview: Chopticon Braves vs. Northern Patriots

The Chopticon Braves will take on the Northern Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chopticon will be strutting in after a victory while Northern will be coming in after a defeat.

Chopticon is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Lackey: they outscored them in every quarter. Chopticon blew past Lackey 45-20 on Friday. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Braves this season.

Chopticon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexi Mcallister out in front who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Kirnique Swales, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Northern unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 68-38 loss at the hands of St. Mary's Ryken. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Knights are ranked 21st).

Chopticon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Northern, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
