Liberty Christian came tearing into Monday's contest with 16 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bishop Lynch Friars by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 back in February.

Colton Zahorik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drake Hawpe, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Little, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Liberty Christian pushed their record up to 31-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Bishop Lynch, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-11.

As of now, neither Liberty Christian nor the Friars have any future games scheduled.
