Soccer Game Preview: Crosstown vs. Overton

The Crosstown Explorers will face off against the Overton Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Overton is facing Crosstown at the wrong time: Crosstown suffered their first home loss of the season on Monday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Overton was forced to settle for a draw. They and Kingsbury finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Crosstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-2. Overton's draw gives them a new season record of 6-4-1.

Crosstown came out on top in a nail-biter against Overton when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Explorers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
