Sunnyslope came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Marana Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Sunnyslope never let Marana on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, 25-17.

Sunnyslope's offense was headlined by Owen Hillis and Ian Waxman, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Mason Cooley and his 30 assists. Finally, Hillis was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Sunnyslope's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Marana, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Sunnyslope will be playing at home against Corona del Sol at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marana, they will head out to take on Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
