Fort LeBoeuf strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the McDowell Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bison also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2022.

Kiernan Skelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paige Shields, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ibree Rodgers also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fort LeBoeuf pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for McDowell, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Coming up, Fort LeBoeuf will host Central Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDowell, they will head out on the road to take on Warren at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
