Baseball Recap: Chaffey Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chaffey can now relate to. They lost 15-2 to the Channel Islands Raiders on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chaffey saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Venegas, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Chaffey has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Channel Islands, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-13.

Chaffey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Channel Islands, they will take on Norwalk at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
