Heritage took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 81-46 victory over the Rolesville Rams. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.
Heritage was led to victory by Christian Hargett and Ryder Strand. Hargett went 8-for-10 to rack up 20 points, while Strand shot 53% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Strand is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Ben Heynen was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Clemons, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Life Lynch, who put up 11 points.
Coming up, Heritage will square off against Sanderson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rolesville, they will take on Franklinton at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
