Basketball Recap: Silver Lake Find Success

Silver Lake won the last time they faced Rossville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Silver Lake Eagles came out on top against the Rossville Bulldogs by a score of 62-53.

Rylee Dick and Nora Burdiek certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Dick went 9 of 19 on her way to 28 points, while Burdiek dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Dick's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rossville, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.

Silver Lake will host Hiawatha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hiawatha will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Silver Lake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rossville, they will head out to challenge Holton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rossville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5 points per game this season.
