             The Sacopee Valley Hawks are taking a road trip to  challenge the Spruce Mountain Phoenix  on Saturday. The  squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Sacopee Valley has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Spruce Mountain will arrive with four straight  victories.
 Sacopee Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Maine's top teams: Spruce Mountain, who was ranked 12th  in their home state at the time (Sacopee Valley was ranked 17th). Sacopee Valley was  outmatched by Spruce Mountain at home  and fell  44-12.
 Spruce Mountain found their leader in sophomore  Owen Kelvey, who rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Kelvey was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.  Austin Armandi was another key player, gaining 131 total yards and a touchdown.
 Spruce Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 314  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 292  rushing yards in four consecutive  games.
 Sacopee Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Spruce Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
