It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sierra had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Weston Ranch Cougars 60-0. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won 12 contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Janessa Barnes was her usual excellent self, picking up 199 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Her receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked her third straight game with at least 115 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maitland Kohoutek, who threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes.
Sierra didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Katie Machado, Peyton Duarte, and Gracie Costa picked up one apiece.
Sierra is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Weston Ranch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
