Softball Recap: Jefferson Wins Going Away Against Trillium Academy

Jefferson won the last time they faced Trillium Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Bears put the hurt on Trillium Academy with a sharp 16-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Emily Grube made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Grube was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Jalee Leach was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lindsey Gennoe, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-5.

Jefferson has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Trillium Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Trillium Academy: the pair will be back at it again later today.
