Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Westbury

Westbury extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ibrahim Allim. The Huskies came out on top against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers by a score of 64-56 on Saturday thanks in part to Allim, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Derrion Hubbard was another key player, shooting 67% from the field on his way to 14 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.8% field goal percentage.

Lutheran South Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Walker, who posted 18 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Anderson, who had 12 points.

Westbury's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Westbury has already played their next matchup, a 75-55 victory against Milby on the 1st. As for Lutheran South Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-33 loss against Concordia Lutheran on the 2nd.
