Basketball Recap: Winter Warriors vs. Flambeau Falcons
Winter and Flambeau squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Winter had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Flambeau Falcons, falling 90-34. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flambeau to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Kopacz, who went 8-for-20 to rack up 21 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The match was Kopacz's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Hruby, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and three steals.
Winter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Flambeau, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.
Winter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flambeau, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 76-68 loss against Rib Lake on the 7th.
