Football Recap: Northview Skates Past San Dimas with Ease

Northview came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the San Dimas Saints, posting a 42-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Saints are ranked 283rd).

Northview had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Lucero picked up 164 receiving yards and three TDs and Robert Lucero threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. Isaiah got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 83 yards. Dominic Munoz also helped with two scores in total.

Northview's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for San Dimas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northview is set to square off against their familiar foe Alta Loma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Lucero and Maximus Fierro. Meanwhile, San Dimas will face off against rival Baldwin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
