Baseball Recap: Greenville Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Southside Christian

Greenville Christian Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Southside Christian Warriors. Considering the Knights have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eli Suggs made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Greenville Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Heath, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Greenville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

As of now, neither Greenville Christian Academy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
