Baseball Recap: Discovery Canyon Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Discovery Canyon won the last time they faced Widefield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunder never let the Gladiators get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on four straight.

Discovery Canyon got a great performance from Eoin Adams as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Adams has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Discovery Canyon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Teltschik, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another was Nate Singleton, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Discovery Canyon pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Widefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

As of now, neither Discovery Canyon nor the Gladiators have any future games scheduled.
