League recap: Nottoway's Gunn delivers best pitching performance from past week

A James River league recap: 4/3/13

Dustin Gunn was the top pitcher in A James River this week, leading Nottoway. He won one game and struck out 16 batters.

Lyneiro Bassfield was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .273 average, one home run and six RBIs. The Cougars compiled a record of 1-1 in that time.

Randolph-Henry's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing six hits and zero walks to lead the league in both categories.

Three batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by Jake King, who collected two hits in four at bats for a .500 average.

Bassfield drove in one home run this week.



Hunter Taylor drove in four runners on Thursday in Nottoway's 7-4 victory over Goochland. He went 2-for-4 and scored zero runs.
