Baseball Recap: Carolina Forest Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carolina Forest can now relate to. They fell just short of the Spring Valley Vikings by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Carolina Forest got a good showing from Bryce Enterlin, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Enterlin has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mark Allen Jr. was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Eli Chowning, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Carolina Forest's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10. As for Spring Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-16.

As of now, neither Carolina Forest nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
