Softball Game Preview: Coconino Panthers vs. Bradshaw Mountain Bears

For the second straight game, Coconino will face off against Bradshaw Mountain. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Coconino has 15 straight wins, Bradshaw Mountain has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Coconino beats Bradshaw Mountain with 15 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Bears on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Bradshaw Mountain's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Columbo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Coconino's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
