Basketball Game Preview: Marsh Valley Eagles vs. Snake River Panthers

Marsh Valley is 2-8 against Snake River since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Marsh Valley Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Snake River Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Marsh Valley is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since November 10, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of American Falls by a score of 57-55. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Snake River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took a blow against Bear Lake, falling 57-24. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Bears are ranked 12th).

Marsh Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Snake River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Marsh Valley was dealt a bruising 66-29 defeat at the hands of Snake River when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Marsh Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
