It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Olympian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Coastal Academy Stingrays with a sharp 7-1 win. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Alexandra Perez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daniela Mendoza, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailynn Robeson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Olympian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Olympian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-12-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Coastal Academy, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-5.

Olympian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against San Dieguito Academy on the 23rd. As for Coastal Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 10-8 win against El Camino on the 23rd.
