Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Notre Dame Prep

Shadow Ridge faced Notre Dame Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Stallions fell just short of the Saints by a score of 2-1. If the Stallions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Saints when the teams met back in August of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Haley Cashatt paced Shadow Ridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Cashatt got some help from Rigley Garrison and her 19 assists. Cashatt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Notre Dame Prep to victory were Alex Heritage and Cassidy Graninger. Heritage had five digs and two aces, while Graninger had eight digs and four assists. That's the most assists Graninger has posted over her last seven games. Elizabeth Hackleman also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
