Baseball Game Preview: Keystone Heights Indians vs. West Nassau Warriors

The Keystone Heights Indians will head out to take on the West Nassau Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keystone Heights will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

On Tuesday, Keystone Heights got the win against Baker County by a conclusive 14-2. The Indians have beaten the Wildcats the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Wilson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Brinson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Keystone Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, West Nassau was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 7-2 to Tift County. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Keystone Heights pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Nassau, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
