Soccer Recap: Fairmont's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Fairmont was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Troy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Firebirds fell just short of the Springboro Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Fairmont were not able to make up for their defeat to Springboro from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Fairmont hit Springboro with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grey Danner, Will Herman, and Torin Brock.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fairmont fell to 4-1-1. As for Springboro, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Fairmont will venture away from home to take on Centerville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springboro, they will welcome Olentangy Liberty at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Olentangy Liberty's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
