Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Celtics vs. Bennington Bulldogs

The Trinity Celtics will head out on the road to square off against the Bennington Bulldogs on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Trinity beat Ell-Saline 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Celtics.

Meanwhile, Bennington owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They didn't even let Canton-Galva on the board, marking the Bulldogs' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Trinity pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bennington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Trinity took their win against Bennington in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Celtics since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
