Soccer Game Preview: The Rock vs. Calvary Christian Academy

We've got a battle between Lions coming up. Calvary Christian Academy will need to watch out since The Rock has now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.

Calvary Christian Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when The Rock really gets things going. The Rock put the hurt on Cornerstone Academy with a sharp 8-2 victory on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The Rock hit Cornerstone Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexi Xajil (3), Logan Hyatt (2), Caden Overstreet (2), and Win Privette.

Calvary Christian Academy had taken Eastland Christian down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy fell just short of Eastland Christian by a score of 2-1.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for The Rock, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

The Rock took their win against Calvary Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Rock since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
