Soccer Game Preview: Teutopolis vs. St. Anthony

On Thursday Teutopolis will have to hit the road after six straight games at home. They will head out to square off against the St. Anthony Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. St. Anthony has given up an average of 6.4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Teutopolis didn't have quite enough to beat Robinson and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond. While losing is never fun, St. Anthony can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond are ranked 162nd).

Teutopolis has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's taken a bite out of their 2-6-3 record this season. As for St. Anthony, they have now lost 12 of their last 14 games on the road. That leaves them at an 0-7 record this season.
