            Softball Recap: East Wake Warriors vs. C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            East Wake hadn't done well against C.B. Aycock recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Warriors won by a  run and slipped past the Golden Falcons  8-7. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Warriors.
 Madison Keith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and five unearned) runs off   eight  hits (and not a single walk). Keith was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news, East Wake got a  massive  performance out of  Katelyn Smith, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alissa Flood, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 East Wake was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .393. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
East Wake's record now sits at 9-5. As for C.B. Aycock,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-10.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Wake will welcome Rolesville  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for C.B. Aycock, they will challenge Fike at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Golden Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Demons have averaged an impressive 6.6  runs per game this season.
