Softball Recap: Dundalk Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Dundalk was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Sparrows Point Pointers, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pointers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-13 back in March.

Dundalk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Woods, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Dundalk and nudges their season record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-4 Carver A&T (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.3% over those games). As for Sparrows Point, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Dundalk will look to defend their home field on Monday against Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. As for Sparrows Point, they will challenge Carver A&T at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
