Basketball Recap: Garrett Morgan Falcons vs. Valley Forge Patriots
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Euclid, Garrett Morgan was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 42-33 win over the Valley Forge Patriots. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Nailah Majeed had an outrageously good game as she went 11 for 16 en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anylaih Moore, who posted five points in addition to 12 boards and three steals.
Garrett Morgan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.
