Basketball Recap: Garrett Morgan Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Euclid, Garrett Morgan was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 42-33 win over the Valley Forge Patriots. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Nailah Majeed had an outrageously good game as she went 11 for 16 en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anylaih Moore, who posted five points in addition to 12 boards and three steals.

Garrett Morgan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Garrett Morgan's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Valley Forge, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Garrett Morgan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-35 defeat against John F. Kennedy on the 15th. As for Valley Forge, they will head out to take on North Olmsted at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. North Olmsted has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
